My Wedding Videographer Guide to Town Head Estate
Start your morning with the bridal party getting ready in the cosy bridal cottage. For the best lighting, have the bride do her key makeup by the window. Lay out your dress and accessories in the upstairs bridal suite for easy access and perfect photo ops.
As the morning moves along, you’ll slip into your dress upstairs. With two big windows, there’s plenty of light for stunning shots and a grand reveal to your family, dad, and bridesmaids.
For the guys, there’s a spot to get ready around the back of the barn, or you can choose one of the places just 5 minutes away in Newby Bridge, depending on the size of your groom’s party.
Your ceremony can be outside with a gorgeous lake view. The venue staff are great about giving you as much time as possible to decide on the location based on the weather (it is the Lakes, after all!). Even if it’s rainy, the wedding barn inside is a beautiful backdrop for your vows.
The drinks reception happens on the grounds just outside the wedding barn, on the terrace with decking and cover in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. This area is also perfect for group photos.
For your wedding breakfast and speeches, you’ll head back to the wedding barn upstairs. They offer various table setups. As a wedding videographer who’s worked at Town Head Estate, I recommend a top table or sweetheart table for the best footage of you and your speakers.
Kick off your evening with guests exploring the grounds, visiting the boathouse, or even taking a ride on the private hire boat the venue offers! Your first dance and the party will be back in the wedding barn where you can dance the night away.
With stunning grounds, an amazing boathouse, a cute greenhouse, and lakeside views, there are plenty of spots for your couple’s portrait session.
